HIIT It!

That's right, HIIT it! Well, not really. Only when exercising should you HIIT it (your body should HIIT it when exercising), but what I really mean when I say HIIT it, I mean High-Intensity Interval Training. Now, I know most of you are saying, "What is High-Intensity Interval Training?" and "Why use it?". Well, those are some good questions that are about to be answered.

High-Intensity Interval Training is a very intense type of exercise that is used to be effective at burning off calories in a short amount of time, burning fat, building muscle, increasing metabolism, helping lose weight, and helping to improve cardiovascular fitness. It even burns calories up to 2 hours after this workout has been completed. Pretty cool, huh? And if you're looking at doing one of these exercises right now, here are some examples:

-Russian Twists

-Jumping Jacks

-Wall Sits

-Push-Ups

-Crunches

-Chair Step-Ups

-Squats

-Tricep Dips

-Planks

-High Knees Running in Place

-Lunges

-Push-Up Rotations

-Side Planks

-Bear Walk

-Bicep Curls

-Burpees

-Mountain Climbers

-Jumping Lunges

Of course there are many other HIIT exercises but these are a few of them. There are several levels of HIIT workouts as well such as beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Whether you are just starting to do HIIT workouts, have been doing them for a while, or are going to try them out, HIIT workouts are a great way to keep active. Even if you are not a fan of them, doing them helps you feel like you have accomplished something for your body.

So, next time you think "Ugh, I have to do another workout!", just think, "I have another workout and I have to HIIT it this time!"

Eat healthy, get fit, enjoy the journey, and choose happiness!:)

xoxo
